The SC appointed, Raghavan led, SIT's closure Report laments "no prosecutable evidence against any accused".
It also accuses Police Joint Chief Tandon and Sr Inspector Gondia of getting false FIRs filed in other police stations to be able to flee from Meghaninagar area, leaving the marauders free to kill Ehsan Jaffri and more than 50 others. So, fleeing duty, filing false FIRs with an intent to allow killing.. if these are not prosecutable evidence what else is?
MY QUESTIONS TO MR RAGHAVAN, SC, THE STATE OF INDIA:
a. So, WHO IS RESPONSIBLE for the 2000+ innocents killed, if the CM and Home Minister, the other ministers, the Police Chief and his officers, the bureaucracy.. are all clean? Doesn't someone HAVE to be responsible, HAVE to be held accountable?
b. What about the video tapes of Tahelka and audio tape of Haren Pandya? These are not evidences?
c. What about Raju Ramachandran's opinion that there is sufficient evidence for criminal culpability of the CM and the police officers?
d. What do you want the hapless Muslims, whose relatives were brutalized, to do? Swallow this injustice, forget their loss and forgive the criminals? Regard Indian state and judiciary as being incapable of delivering justice? Or begin to set up their own justice seeking mechanisms?
Finally, I dare say, that it will be a dangerous day for India when a large minority like Muslims gets convinced that justice is not its lot through normal lawful channels.
