I am simply dumbfounded hearing all the PRAISES and endorsements being heaped upon Hyderabad Police, by not only common people, politicians and celebrities but even by activists.
Are we left with any civility, any semblance of rule of law, any sense of due process and constitutionalism? Have we truly become a banana republic?
How gleefully people are celebrating this SPEEDY DELIVERY OF "JUSTICE", and citing this as example for other states, and perhaps in other matters?
Do they realize that they can be one day accused of and picked up by vengeful cops and bumped off in "self-defense" while they will not be alive to challenge the accusations?
Within an hour of hearing the report of the rape I had written demanding that if found guilty the brutal criminals be hanged to death. But THIS? This point-blank murder? This absolutely, nakedly, brazenly fake encounter?
OUTRIGHT CRIMINALITY ON THE PART OF TELANGANA POLICE!
OUTRIGHT INSENSITIVITY AND LAWLESSNESS ON THE PART OF US, THE PEOPLE!
India, you are headed on a course of fascism, self-destruction, and anarchy.
